What we collect

When you use our intake form, we collect what you enter: your restaurant's name, your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide one, and anything you write in the message field. We also collect the files you upload, such as your menu (PDF or photos) and photos of your food and space, up to 12 files of 20 MB each.

We do not require an account, we do not ask for payment details, and the website itself is free, so we never collect a credit card.

How your information is used

We use what you send us for one purpose: to build your restaurant's website and to communicate with you about that work. Concretely, your submission is stored in our project database, your uploaded files are stored in secure cloud storage (Vercel Blob), and we receive an email notification (through our email provider, Mailgun) so a real person replies promptly.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it for any purpose other than the work you asked for.

Analytics

Like most websites, we measure aggregate traffic to understand which pages are useful. This site uses Google Analytics and HeyCatch analytics. These tools see standard technical information such as pages viewed and approximate location. They are not used to advertise to you, and restaurant owners who submit the form are not profiled for marketing.

Retention and deletion

We keep your submission and files for as long as it takes to build and support your website, and afterwards only as long as needed to keep that site running and maintained. If you want any of it deleted, email hello@freerestaurantwebsite.com and we will remove it, no questions and no forms.
